Now that we’ve finished the book, I’d like you to reflect about the theme of this book. What is a lesson you can take from this story? Look past the horror of how Sandy’s mom is held captive for seventeen years and find something you can apply to your own life. Possible examples could include hope, faith, not quitting until you accomplish a goal, etc.
Secondly, I’d like you to put yourself into Howard and Gladys Meyer’s shoes. How would you react to Sandy finding her birth mother? Would you be happy, disappointed, confused?
Be sure to answer both questions I’m asking you in this blog. This should be the longest response you have done so far in the blog. Because of that, I’m giving you three days to complete it, and it’s worth 30 points. I’m not going to put a minimum requirement on this one, but one or two sentences is not going to cut it.
